Why UD?
UD has a one-of-a-kind community that immediately caught my notice when I was visiting colleges. The students, faculty and staff here make UD an experience like no other, and are always friendly, supportive and welcoming.
Why did you choose engineering? Why UD engineering?
I have wanted to be an engineer for years, and knew civil was the one for me after learning a little more about the different fields of engineering and speaking with professionals. UD seemed like a great program to me. I had heard about many people who had loved it and was excited to check it out.
What is your favorite part of UD?
My favorite part about UD is the people. The friends I've made here are truly the best people I've ever known, and spending time with my classmates, coworkers, etc. makes even the most mundane tasks fun memories. The faculty and staff here is amazing and I've never once doubted that my professors are committed to my learning and success.
What advice would you give high school students?
I would say to visit schools and find what feels right. Also, don't get your heart set on anything until you've seen the numbers.
Ethos is the most amazing program and makes engineering and travel accessible to students at a relatively low cost. If I could recommend on thing to be involved in at UD, it would be the Ethos Center.
