Why UD?

UD has a great engineering school. I received enough scholarships to make it affordable, and students enjoy the campus life here.

Why did you choose engineering? Why UD engineering?

I knew that I wanted to build infrastructure and transportation systems. Civil engineers contribute to the built environment and protect the natural environment. UD has a well established, ABET-accredited civil engineering program.

UD School of Engineering is collaborative as opposed to competitive. The connections I've made with the faculty and students have been great. There are a lot of student resources to help you!

What is your favorite part of UD?

The medium size of the school. The school is small enough that it's easy to make connections around campus and feel a sense of belonging. The school is big enough to have all the student resources, academic programs, labs, equipment, industry partner connections, opportunities for students and D1 sports.

What advice would you give high school students?

Pick a school you can afford, and has programs that will lead to your desired vocation.
