Principal Investigator - Radar Systems Engineer (Jan 2012 – Present) Research, design and development of modern radar systems for the Air Force Research Laboratory. Hands-on, prototyping and system engineering. Expertise includes, but not limited to, HF to mmW radar systems, monopulse, tracking, early warning and surveillance radar, airborne radar, multichannel phased-array radar, MIMO radar, multistatic radar, ground penetrating Radar, through-wall imaging, RF tomography, over-the-horizon radar, and high-power radar transmitters. Consulting and providing technical expertise to the AFRL personnel. Development of radar signal processing algorithms, including space-time adaptive processing, synthetic aperture radar imaging, multisensor fusion and exploitation, target recognition, and waveform design.

Lecturing the courses “Introduction to Radar” and “RF/Radar Systems Design”. Technical leader of the Center of Excellence in Distributed Sensing. Designed the UD multi-sensor anechoic chamber based on distributed sensors controlled by robotic arms (first of this kind worldwide). Designed a passive radar and a distributed network of marine radars. Performed mixed RF/EO/IF target signature exploitation. Mentoring 1 Postdoctorate, 3 PhD, 2 MSc and 2 Freshman students.
