Bio

Lisa Witt serves as the professional success program manager, for the Engineering Co-op and Internship Office at the University of Dayton School of Engineering. She has served as a career adviser since 2013, holding previous roles as the career services manager at Shorelight Education, and assistant director at the University of Dayton Career Services, where she had liaison responsibilities to the School of Engineering, Department of Computer Science and the Center for International Programs. In those roles, she assisted students with a wide variety of topics including career development, job search and networking strategies, interviewing skills, salary negotiation and choosing major/career path through either individual appointments, workshops or presentations.

Before UD, Witt served as Colonel in the United States Air Force, applying her skills as an engineering officer in a wide variety of active duty and reserve positions. There, she had a solid hands-on advising career partnering with small-medium-large companies in the talent management arena combined with multi-faceted intercultural skills development. One of the core beliefs Witt holds is that knowledge is power. As such, she will be facilitating module and curriculum development in her current role to further professional skill building for engineering students at the University of Dayton. Witt holds a Master of Education Science in Community Counseling from the University of Dayton and a Bachelor of Science in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Cincinnati. Over the span of her career, Witt has earned a reputation as a down-to-earth and energetic career adviser with a passion for helping others reach their career goals. Witt resides in Beavercreek, OH, has three adult children, Eva, Eric (daughter-in-law, Kay), and Peter (daughter-in-law, Nicole). Her interests include traveling, reading, hiking, camping, biking and anything music related.
