Why I Chose UD
UD was the first school I visited that got me excited about college and was an environment I immediately felt comfortable in. Seeing people say hi to each other on tour and getting to see the community first hand for myself was something very unique to me and eventually was the reason I chose to call UD home for 4 years.
Advice for Incoming Students
Something that was very helpful for me when starting college was pushing myself outside of my comfort zone in a somewhat comfortable way. I would start by leaving my dorm room door open to meet people, then maybe getting dinner with someone I just met, and eventually worked my way up to going to club meetings by myself or hanging out with a group of people I just met. Take things at whatever pace you need to and do whatever is best for you!
Why I Love UD
The people here are genuinely some of the kindest, most welcoming people I have met. Your professors care about your success so much and are always there to support you throughout whatever you are doing. There are also so many involvement opportunities specific to each student's interest which have helped me grow so much in knowledge outside of the classroom.
