Why I Love UD
As a former third grade teacher, I have seen first-hand the integral link between sense of belonging and an effective, holistic educational experience. Upon taking my first step on campus, it was clear that UD students were happy and well ingrained within their campus community, making it no wonder why UD students have incredible success in both the classroom and their respective careers. I earnestly support and connect with UD’s commitment to educating the whole person through scholarship, leadership and service, and am excited to recruit prospective students to join our vibrant community and forever Flyer family.
Biography
BS in Elementary Education, University of Missouri (2017)
M Ed in Learning, Teaching and Curriculum with Emphasis in Mathematics Education, University of Missouri (2022)
Having been known as ‘The Cleveland Kid’ throughout much of my life, it is a thrill to be working for The University of Dayton out of my hometown, Cleveland, Ohio.
After graduating as a Missouri Tiger in 2017, I began my professional career by teaching 3rd grade in Jefferson City, Missouri. After two years of being 'Mr. Dames' at West Elementary, I returned to the University of Missouri to pursue full-time graduate studies, which provided me with opportunities to participate in high quality, nationally-funded research projects and teach undergraduate courses as the sole instructor of record. After receiving my master's degree, I made the jump into higher education at Case Western Reserve University, serving in the role as Admission Counselor.
All of these roles have provided me with the experience, knowledge and skills to serve effectively as a Regional Manager of Enrollment here at UD.
Outside of office hours, I enjoy going to Cleveland sporting events, trying new pizza places and spending time with my dog, Jake.
