Profile
Dr. Moroney joined the faculty in 1990. He is a Board Certified Professional Ergonomist (CPE). Dr. Moroney has 22 years of experience in aviation and systems human factors as an Aerospace Experimental Psychologist in the US Navy. He has taught at the Naval Postgraduate School, and Navy Test Pilot School. Dr. Moroney holds one patent (on an anthropometric measuring device) and one invention disclosure (for an aircraft accident prevention system). Dr. Moroney has supported the School of Engineering's Design Clinic and provided ergonomic consulting services to a number of local industries.
Dr. Moroney served for five years as Chair of the Accreditation Review Committee of the Human Factors and Ergonomics Society, and is currently a Senior Editor of Ergonomics in Design. He was elected a Fellow of the Human Factors and Ergonomics Society, and has served as President of the Southern Ohio Chapter of the Human Factors and Ergonomics Society.
