CPT Adam J. Berg is a native of Washington, DC.  He holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Political Science from Hofstra University and a Masters Degree in Public Management from the University of Maryland.  In 2011, CPT Berg commissioned as a Second Lieutenant through Officer Candidate School, Fort Benning, GA.

CPT Berg’s previous assignments include: Platoon Leader in the 546th Military Police Company, Fort Stewart, Georgia; Platoon Leader in the 293rd Military Police Company, Fort Stewart, Georgia; Executive Officer in the 549th Military Police Company, Fort Stewart, Georgia; and Executive Officer in the 289th Military Police Company (The Old Guard), Fort Myer, Virginia.  While assigned to The Old Guard, CPT Berg also served as the Officer In-Charge of the Joint Team Capitol Ushers for the 58th Presidential Inauguration. 

In 2017, CPT Berg assumed command of the 291st Military Police Company (Detention) at Fort Leavenworth, KS.  Under his command, the unit earned the Thomas F. Barr Award, an honor given to the best Military Police Company in Army Corrections Command.  After relinquishing command in October 2019, CPT Berg transitioned to Assistant Professor of Military Science at the University of Dayton. 

CPT Berg’s military education includes: Sexual Harassment/Assault Response and Prevention (SHARP) Course, Unit Movement Officer, Domestic Violence Intervention Training, Military Police Basic Officer Leader Course, Officer Candidate School, Company Commander/First Sergeant Pre-Command Course, and Military Police Captains Career Course. 

CPT Berg’s awards and decorations include the Meritorious Service Medal (1OLC), Army Commendation Medal, Army Achievement Medal (1 OLC), National Defense Service Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Army Service Ribbon, and the German Armed Forces Efficiency Badge (Bronze).

CPT Berg is married to Leslie-Ann Berg of Pensacola, FL.  They currently reside in Oakwood, OH with their children: Charlotte, Juliette, and Thomas.
