Profile
Heather Barhorst joined the Dean's Office of the College of Arts and Sciences in 2020 after more than 21 years of direct admission and financial aid experience, including 14 years in enrollment management at UD.
As director of enrollment initiatives and special projects, Heather helps promote the value of a College of Arts and Sciences degree by bridging the relationships between prospective students and their families with our faculty and current students. She also manages a team of undergraduate student volunteers who love to share their academic experiences and co-curricular activities with prospective and incoming students by speaking at recruitment events and new student orientation prior to the start of the academic year.
Heather holds a bachelor’s degree in communication and a master’s degree in instructional leadership. She has been married for 15 years to Nate, a seventh grade science teacher and varsity basketball coach at Anna Local Schools. They have two children who can’t wait to join the Flyer family when they are a little older.
