Profile
Susybel Roxy Kallsen is a full-time lecturer in the Criminal Justice and Security Studies Department at the University of Dayton. She has a doctorate in Criminal Justice from the University of Cincinnati and a B.A./M.A. in Forensic Psychology from John Jay College of Criminal Justice. Her professional experience includes working at Rikers Island Jail Complex as a cognitive behavioral therapy facilitator and working at the University of Cincinnati Corrections Institute delivering technical support to correctional agencies. Kallsen is broadly interested in how juvenile delinquency intersects with socioeconomic status, immigration, policing practices and adjustment to correctional settings. She is highly interested in the integration of quantitative and qualitative approaches in mixed methods research designs. Kallsen has previously taught undergraduate courses at the University of Cincinnati and John Jay College.
