Air of innovation helps Flyer fight COVID in Ghana

In Ghana, a West African country of more than 29 million people and only 67 ventilators, Fred McBagonluri ’05 is leading a project to create ventilator prototypes from local materials. Read his story here.

University of Dayton Magazine moves to online-only format for summer

The summer issue of University of Dayton Magazine, set for publication June 25, will be published online only. A link will be shared through Campus News Digest and at udayton.edu/magazine. The next print issue is planned for the fall.

Be on the lookout tomorrow for the first issue of Student News Digest. The digest will feature campus news just for students with information about books, career services and financial aid and more. Look for it in your University email or log onto Porches for the digest.

In community online

The Marianists have created a new online retreat for the entire Marianist family. While individuals can complete the retreat on their own and at their own pace, the Marianists encourage small groups to make the retreat together by gathering virtually to share in discussion, reflection and prayer. A Marianist Digital Retreat for a Pandemic is split into four modules, which can be experienced in a single day or over a few days. To access the retreat, click here

Virtual staff meeting Wednesday, May 20

Don't forget the spring staff meeting 3-5 p.m. Wednesday, May 20. You can send your questions ahead of time to hr@udayton.edu and there will be an opportunity to submit questions during the session. Check your University email from Monday for instructions on how to log in or listen.

Every Tuesday (and sometimes Friday), the University news and communications team will share news to help us stay connected. To submit an item, please send a brief introduction (no more than 2-3 sentences) with a website link (not a pdf) to campusreport@udayton.edu no later than noon each Friday for consideration for the following Tuesday's newsletter.
