University of Dayton COVID-19 Cases - Fall 2021

This chart reflects summaries of student, employee and visitor cases for the fall semester 2021.

Chart depicting COVID-19 cases among UD students for fall semester 2021. From August 1, 2021, through Dec. 31, 2021, there were 222 student cases. The average daily new student cases was one. The peak number of new student cases was eight on September 21, 2021. Among employees and visitors, between August 1, 2021, and December 31, 2021, there were 102 employee cases and 25 visitor cases.

  • Cases reported reflect individuals who were working, living, studying or otherwise on campus during their contagious period.
  • "Total Student Cases" and "Employee/Visitor Cases" reflect cases recorded from 8/1/21 to 12/31/21. There was one case on campus in July 2021.
  • "Average Daily New Student Cases" reflects the daily average of confirmed positive COVID-19 cases recorded into the tracking system from 8/1/21 to 12/31/21.
