UDOLLI Welcome
Lifelong Learning at University of Dayton
The Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at the University of Dayton (UDOLLI) is designed for you to expand knowledge and explore ideas in an informal, flexible, and non-competitive environment. There are no prerequisites, no exams, no grades, only the opportunity to interact with your contemporaries and meet friends, old and new.
Throughout the year, UDOLLI offers a variety of seminars and scheduling options. During the academic year, we offer fall, winter and spring seminar series that meet weekly, Monday through Saturday. In summer, we host one-day seminars -- great way to immerse and explore interesting topics over the summer academic break. We also host special week-long seminar series, so be on the lookout for new, special series to be announced.

Additional UDOLLI Fall Program Seminar: Jewish Comedians
Jewish Comedians
In 1981, Steve Allen wrote that 80% of all U.S, comedians were Jewish. Yet the Jewish population of the U.S. is only 2.4%. Why the disproportionate number of comics? That's what we'll investigate. We'll delve into the sources of Jewish humor. We'll look at the early TV pioneers, the prime time stand-ups, and the late-night couch guests. We'll try to get some sense of this phenomenon - mostly through video clips. And....we'll laugh a lot!
6 Thursdays, September 19, 26; October 10, 17, 24 and 31 (This seminar does not meet on October 3)
3-5 p.m., Daniel J. Curran Place
Richard Prigozen is a retired small-business owner. He has moderated seminars on guitar, the Grateful Dead (rock band), and has moderated (or co-moderated) the Jewish Comedians seminar about a dozen times to date!
Register for this and all Fall seminars, but not until Monday, August 5, 9:00am
