Posting a Job

Employers are encouraged to post internship, cooperative education, part-time and full-time jobs for students and alumni in Handshake free of charge. Once posted students and alumni may submit a resume either through Handshake or directly to the employer via email or the organization's website. Generally, postings are active for eight weeks.

Step 1: Create an account in Handshake

  1. Visit Handshake
  2. Select the "Employer" account type from the options presented
  3. Fill out the information requested then click Sign Up
  4. Enter your recruiting interests and Alma Mater then click Continue
  5. Read the Employer Guidelines, Terms of Service and Privacy Policy
  6. If you're a third party recruiter select Yes
  7. Verify your account via email

Step 2: Post your job

  1. Click Post a Job from home dashboard
  2. Review and update your Job Basics
  3. Add the Job Details
  4. Edit your School Selection to add schools then choose Create 
  5. Refer to this site for additional information
