Sign-ups and Important Info

Sign-ups for Early Drop-Off begin Tuesday, July 7, 2026, on the MyHousing Portal. To ensure you don't miss your preferred window, students should check their UD email regularly, as Housing and Residence Life will send all registration links and essential updates directly to the student's inbox.

  • Because students won't have access to their room again until their formal move-in date, make sure they don't drop off any essentials such as medications, IDs, or important documents.
  • Each student is allocated a one-hour window for dropping off belongings. Don't plan to unpack or organize your space during this time.
  • The student must be present for Early Drop-Off in order to receive their room key and gain access to their residence hall. Belongings cannot be dropped off by family members alone.
Parking and Directions

When families arrive on campus, they will be directed to pull up in front of their student's residence hall. Vehicles may only unload in the drop-and-go locations being used for early drop-off. You may not leave your vehicle unattended at any point while unloading.

As soon as the student's belongings are unloaded, you will be directed to park in the nearest lot for the remainder of your time.

Oversized Vehicles

Students using U-Hauls or other oversized vehicles will be directed by UD Parking Services personnel to park and unload in an alternate location.

Directions to Marianist Hall

From the intersection of Brown St. and Stewart St.:

  • Continue on Brown St.
  • Turn Left on Kiefaber St.
  • Turn Left on Founders Lane.
  • Turn Right in front of Marianist Hall and park in the C Lot to unload. The driver must remain with the vehicle at all times.

Directions to Marycrest Complex

From the intersection of Brown St. and Stewart St.:

  • Continue on Stewart St.
  • Turn Right directly in front of Marycrest Complex (before Access Way).
  • Unload in front of Marycrest Complex. The driver must remain with the vehicle at all times.

Directions to Stuart Complex

From the intersection of Brown St. and Stewart St.:

  • Continue on Brown St.
  • Turn Left on Irving Ave.
  • Turn Left at the UD Welcome Sign.
  • Go Straight up the hill; park in the S3 Lot to unload. The driver must remain with the vehicle at all times.
