Submit a Transfer Credit Evaluation

If you haven't already, use our online Transfer Credit Evaluation to instantly receive a credit audit that tells you how any prior-earned college credits (through dual enrollment or exams) will apply to your degree. It may be helpful to save a PDF of your results that you can access from your phone, or bring a printed copy to orientation. Learn more about transfer and exam credits here.

How to Discuss a Major Change

If you're thinking about changing your major, please reach out to the recruitment and admission staff as soon as possible — don't wait until orientation day when you're on campus as major changes could impact your academic unit meeting at orientation. This helps to ensure a smooth experience and avoid confusion on a busy and information-filled orientation day!

FAQs

How do I register for Orientation?

The New Student Orientation Registration Form can be accessed and completed through Porches after logging in with your UD credentials.

Can I bring additional guests?

Yes, each student is able to bring up to two guests. You can register your guests in the New Student Orientation Registration Form on Porches. All individuals listed will receive a confirmation email.

Parents and guests will follow a similar schedule to their student and will also have an opportunity for additional programming regarding student support.

Who do I notify about accommodations?

Any accommodations you or your guest(s) may need (dietary restrictions, allergies, technology, etc.) should be included in the New Student Orientation Registration Form completed on Porches. For any additional questions, please contact the Office of Learning Resources at 937-229-2066.

What should I bring?

  • Refillable water bottle: In an effort to be sustainable, we encourage students and guests to bring a refillable water bottle so they can utilize refill stations around campus.

  • Comfortable shoes: During orientation you'll travel to several buildings and have the option to tour campus at the end of the day. While our campus is compact and very walkable, we encourage you to plan ahead and wear comfortable shoes.

  • Dress in layers: Ohio weather can be unpredictable. With the fluctuations of temperatures, consider dressing in layers for your comfort.

  • Notebook or device for note taking: Prepare for information overload! You're going to learn a lot during orientation, and while we make every effort to break down information into memorable and bite-size pieces, you're going to want to take notes so you can reference the information later. Rest assured, most of the information presented will be available after orientation in the Navigating Your Transition online course on Canvas. Students will get access to this course in the days after the orientation session.

Is lunch included?

Lunch is not included, but dining facilities will be open for purchase. Please keep in mind we are a cashless campus. Snacks and light refreshments will be provided throughout the sessions.

Where do I park?

Please park in C lot (see directions above) and stop at the Visitor and Parking Information Center at the C lot entrance to receive your parking pass for the day.

Are there places to stay near campus?

Who do I contact if my question is not listed?
