The adventurous, San Francisco-based Del Sol String Quartet explores the contemporary music terrain with Stephen Kent, a master player of the indigenous Australian didgeridu. Featured are works by the pater familias of Australian music, Peter Sculthorpe. Although inspired particularly by his native landscape, Sculthorpe believed that what was extremely local had the greatest capacity to speak universally. It’s a lesson that resonates for all pursuing a more sustainable world.
