Flyer Consulting
Promoting Economic Growth and Building Community
From nonprofits in Ireland to microlending in Kenya, students in Flyer Consulting provide complimentary business consulting to nonprofit organizations while promoting economic growth locally and around the world.
Within Flyer Consulting, there are two verticals: nonprofit consulting and Flyer Development (microlending).
- On the nonprofit consulting side, students work with nonprofits locally and internationally to provide three portfolios of solutions: marketing, business development, and technical.
- On the microlending side, Flyer Development works in partnership with CityWide Development Corp. and the IMANI Marianists to advise and educate small business owners around the globe. Flyer Development seeks to enable entrepreneurial growth through the empowerment of business owners, with the ultimate goal of building more impactful communities. Functional areas include loan pipeline management, business development and entrepreneurial mentorship.
Flyer Consulting is comprised of over 40 students with majors from across the University. Members develop their skills through hands-on work and may move up in the organization to roles such as Project Lead and Managing Director where they are tasked with managing a project or building out comprehensive strategy and solutions for our clients.
Because of these opportunities for experiential learning and servant leadership, consultants have gone on to work in a variety of industries for well-known companies including Google, Cisco, PwC, Vanguard, Williams-Sonoma Inc. and Navigator Management Partners.
