The Davis Center welcomes its new class of interns.

Joe Ariano

Title:  Intern
Hometown:  Deerfield, IL
Year:  First-Year Student
Major:  Business Economics

Last summer, Joe helped out within his family's plumbing business in the Chicago suburbs. He is currently seeking an intern-ship in a finance-related field, particularly investment banking.  

John Connor

Title:  Intern
Hometown:  Kansas City, MO
Year:  First-Year Student
Major:  Business Economics
Minor:  Finance

During the summer of 2020, John was employed part-time by a country club tennis shop, mowed lawns at several homes around his neighborhood, and worked for an independent contractor, fixing up houses in the greater Kansas City community. John has accepted the contractor's invitation to return during the summer ahead.

Nathan Dammerich

Year:  First-Year Student
Major:  Finance

Majoring in Finance with a concentration in Investment Management, George hopes to secure an internship next summer that will help build his resume toward an eventual goal of a career in investment banking.

Jack Deeley

Majors:  Finance & Management Information Systems

Last summer, Jack spent considerable time reading and studying investment-related books from authors such as Howard Marks and Joel Greenblatt. He is looking forward to serving as a financial analyst for Global Platinum Securities' Health Care Sector in the summer ahead and is also seeking an internship related to either of his majors.

Mike Futoryanskiy

Major:  Computer Engineering
Minor:  Computer Science

Mike is looking forward to shadowing soft-ware engineers in the Cleveland area and learning web development during the summer ahead. He will also be working part-time at his pre-pandemic internship at Zircoa Inc. to finish developing a program for density measurement of ceramics parts.

Tom Goslee

Major:  Finance

Last summer, Tom worked at a local country club, assisting members at both the golf course and the club itself. He is interested in the finance industry; more specifically, in wealth management and investment banking. Tom is working hard in the Davis Center to learn as much as possible and is grateful for the hands-on opportunity the Center provides.

Sydnee Haymore

Major:  Discover Business
Minor:  Spanish

Last summer, Sydnee had the privilege of working  as an economic education intern in the Research Department of the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis. She will be returning there next summer to work in the Financial Management District Procurement Department.

Mia Hessel

Year:  First-Year Student
Major:  Finance

For the past two summers, Mia has served as a tennis instructor and administrative assistant at Milwaukee Country Club. Last summer, she also worked as a part-time intern at HCA Asset Management, assisting with project planning and providing other support functions as well. She will resume both roles this upcoming summer.

Jimmy Olson

Last summer found Jimmy working as an Entertainment Intern for Andrews McMeel Universal, a publishing company based out of his hometown of Kansas City, Missouri. Before pursuing professional internships within the field of finance, he will take the opportunity to work as a camp counselor next summer in Granby, Colorado.

Vincent Rullo

Year:  First-Year Student
Majors:  Finance & Accounting

Vincent hopes to use financial knowledge gained through the Davis Center to secure internships at large, well-known corpora-tions in the future. Although currently interested in Mergers & Acquisitions or Investment Banking, he is unsure of his ultimate career goal, but is confident that his Davis Center experience will help him to pinpoint it.

Kristen Timko

During the summer of 2020, Kristen managed a local ice cream shop where she focused mainly on shift accounting and maintaining proper customer service levels. She is eager and hopeful to secure an internship in asset management over the summer ahead.

Megan Ward

Major:  Finance

Last summer, Megan nannied for a family in her hometown of Grand Rapids, Michigan. She looks forward to learning more about the various careers in finance through the Davis Center so that she can establish goals and align her field of study accordingly.
