The GMAT/GRE is highly recommended if you do not have the following:
- A bachelor's degree in engineering, science, computer science, mathematics, economics or business from an accredited college or university
- A minimum 3.0 overall undergraduate GPA
- A minimum 3.0 GPA in your undergraduate mathematics courses
OR
- A minimum of three years of technical work experience
- A minimum 3.2 overall undergraduate GPA
- B's or better in all your undergraduate mathematics courses
Applicant may submit a GMAT (500 minimum, 19 verbal) or GRE (minimum verbal 149, quantitative 146) score. To have your GMAT/GRE score reported to the University of Dayton, please use the following codes: GMAT: 1834, GRE: 1834.

- Please describe your computer programming experience, academically and professionally (requested in order to place you in appropriate courses – computer programming experience is not required).
Applicants are encouraged to submit letters of recommendation, but they are optional.

All applicants must submit official transcripts of previously attended higher educational institutions. A GPA of 3.0 is preferred. Transcripts must be sent directly from the institution to the University of Dayton through a transcript platform or to transcripts@udayton.edu. All international students without a U.S. degree are required to submit English proficiency scores meeting specific requirements. Use the link below to learn more about the English Proficiency Options. Scores should be sent directly to the University of Dayton from the testing center using code 1834.
F-1 and J-1 students must provide a letter of financial support and a bank statement showing sufficient funds to cover the first year of study.
If you are an international student planning on attending the Online MBAN program, you are expected to complete all courses online from your home country, as the online program does not make you eligible for a student visa (including F-1 and J-1 students already in the U.S.). Note that international students are eligible for a student visa if admitted to an on-campus graduate program.
The requirements for admission to the MBAN program are the following: a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 and minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 in undergraduate mathematics courses, with no mathematics course grade of less than a C, and at least a B in Calculus, Linear Algebra, Statistics, or similar course.
The University of Dayton offers a limited number of graduate assistantships which are available on a competitive basis.
