MFin China Start Program

Invest in an Education that Pays You Back

The University of Dayton is providing students with an undergraduate degree the opportunity to earn a Master of Finance in an expedited manner (up to 12 months). Students will begin their foundational coursework at the University of Dayton’s Suzhou Campus (known as the China Institute), and then progress to complete their Master of Finance at the University of Dayton main campus in the U.S. in the subsequent three consecutive terms. After successful completion of the program, students will earn an AACSB-accredited Master of Finance degree recognized by the Ministry of Education of China.

Why the University of Dayton Master of Finance Program?

GMAT/GRE and English Proficiency Exams Waived
Successfully passing the University of Dayton Master of Finance interview and written test, and completion of six-week foundational coursework at the China Institute may lead to a possible waiver of GMAT/GRE and English proficiency exams (i.e., TOEFL, IELTS).

Davis Center for Portfolio Management manages $30 million of the University's endowment invested in equity markets. Students are empowered through software and other resources available in the Davis Center to gain hands-on experience as portfolio managers.

After completion of the University of Dayton Master of Finance program, students can also get their degrees accredited at the Chinese Service Center for Scholarly Exchange.

MFin Curriculum Schedule: 43.5 Total Credits

10.5 credits foundational coursework

6 to 12 credits each semester. You can complete all credits by the Summer of 2020 or by the Spring of 2021.

Program Cost

The total program cost for the degree is approximately $44,000 USD.

Admission Requirements

You must have an undergraduate degree from an accredited institution in China or other country.

You must have a minimum GPA of 3.0 (on a 4.0 scale) for business or economics majors, and a minimum GPA of 2.5 for natural science, math, and engineering majors. Students with less than 3.0 GPA (or 2.5 as applicable) may petition for admission on a case-by-case basis.

You will take a University of Dayton Master of Finance Program test in which written and spoken English and English comprehension are assessed. Such a selection process may lead to a possible waiver of GMAT/GRE and English proficiency exams (i.e., TOEFL, IELTS).

Application Deadline

Early Decision: Please submit all applications and supporting materials to the University of Dayton no later than December 31, 2019.

Regular Decision: Rolling admission, please submit all applications and supporting materials to the University of Dayton.
