A Prayer for Peace

By Eric F. Spina

(A video message from University of Dayton President Eric F. Spina)

Today, on the 20th anniversary of the 9/11 terrorist attacks, we pray for peace and an end to violence in our world.

We remember in a special way the victims — particularly the six alumni who lost their lives as well as the many more family members, spouses and friends of those in our campus community.

We pay tribute to the heroes — the first responders and the brave veterans who served in Iraq and Afghanistan.

We pray for God’s protection over the people of Afghanistan.

On this solemn day of remembrance, let’s recommit to being peacemakers in our world and on our campus.
