Campus Ministry

Welcome to the Catholic Church
Please journey with and pray for our students going through the Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults (RCIA) process here at UD. These candidates (those who have already been baptized) and catechumens (those who are not baptized) are currently preparing to receive the Sacraments of Christian Initiation at the Easter Vigil.
This process takes place each year and is open to all faculty, staff and students. If you are interested in learning more about the RCIA process, please contact Katie Mathews.

Compassion and Equality
Megan Dickinson, class of ’23, and Laura Toomb, senior lecturer in Communications, are this year's Miryam Award recipients. Laura Toomb has been reaching out to grieving mothers who have lost children, following the tragic death of her son. Megan Dickinson has led a shift in the culture of UD’s Club Water Polo team to be more welcoming to women.
Campus Ministry's Center for Social Concern presents the Miryam Award each year to someone who has contributed to improving and advancing the climate for women on campus. The Catholic Social Ministry Gathering
There are two things you aren’t supposed to talk about in polite conversation: religion and politics. A group of nine UD students and two campus ministers did it anyway–and did it politely–at the Catholic Social Ministry Gathering in Washington, DC.
