Campus Ministry

I have been able to see the face of Christ in my first, third, and fifth grade students everyday.
Whenever I walk across campus and pass a student they almost always run up and give me a big hug and ask when we will have class next. (And then they usually ask me if they’ve earned their five good behavior stickers to get a pencil next class—the kids go crazy for pencils).

UD Class of 2027, WE are so excited to meet YOU! So excited, in fact, we want you to come to campus this summer! Come join us this summer for our CALLINGS 2023 Program.

"The opportunity for Compline at UD has been a real blessing in my practice of faith this past year. The weekly Thursday prayer sessions have been a consistent period of encounter with the grace and peace of Christ's presence." (Joshua Michonski '23)

There are two things you aren’t supposed to talk about in polite conversation: religion and politics. A group of nine UD students and two campus ministers did it anyway–and did it politely–at the Catholic Social Ministry Gathering in Washington, DC.

Megan Dickinson, class of ’23, and Laura Toomb, senior lecturer in Communications, are this year's Miryam Award recipients. Laura Toomb has been reaching out to grieving mothers who have lost children, following the tragic death of her son. Megan Dickinson has led a shift in the culture of UD’s Club Water Polo team to be more welcoming to women.
Campus Ministry's Center for Social Concern presents the Miryam Award each year to someone who has contributed to improving and advancing the climate for women on campus.

"We need to find God, and he cannot be found in noise and restlessness. God is the friend of silence." St. Teresa of Calcutta

As we prepare for Lent, let’s ponder the call to growth we hear today and let the Holy Spirit guide our Lenten practices.
