A New Staff Member

The Multi-Ethnic Education and Engagement Center (MEC) is excited to welcome, Megan Woolf, as the Assistant Director of Multicultural/Multi-Ethnic Education. Megan rejoins the Flyer community after having graduated from the University of Dayton in 2016 with her B.S.Ed. in Adolescent to Young Adult Education and in 2018 with her M.S.Ed. in College Student Personnel.  She has worked in several areas of student development including student organization support and residence life, focusing on cultural competence in intercultural communities. Megan has experience creating and assessing multicultural programming while collaborating with departments across campus. Megan enjoys examining pop culture for feminist themes, reading at Dayton coffee shops, and Sweedish Fish candy. 

In this role as Assistant Director of Multicultural/Multi-Ethnic Education, Megan is responsible for supporting the Center’s efforts to provide comprehensive multicultural/multi-ethnic and social justice education that fosters the development of students and prioritizes students’ ability to work, live, and learn in a diverse society. The Assistant Director is responsible for assisting the Director of Multicultural/Multi-Ethnic Education and Student Leadership in supporting the success of U.S. racially and ethnically underrepresented students, and in developing multicultural and social justice education opportunities for students across campus in support of the Multi-Ethnic Education and Engagement Center’s mission. She will engage students directly through  a variety of ways, including coordination, implementation and assessment of MEC’s Partners in the Classroom initiative and the UDiversity Community Education Module that is required of all incoming students.. Megan will also serve as advisor to the Diversity Peer Educators and as a co-collaborator with the University’s new Dialogue Zone that is opening in Roesch Library Fall 2019.
