Artistic Depictions of Chaminade

By Ann Zlotnik

You can find a remarkable statue of Blessed William Joseph Chaminade when you walk between Kennedy Union and Alumni Hall, but where else can you find depictions of the Society of Mary’s founder?

The Marian Library Art and Artifacts Collection is home to several pieces created to honor Chaminade and the Marianists who serve as the strong, nourishing roots of the University of Dayton. You are invited to scroll through this gallery of artworks chosen to celebrate Chaminade, whose feast day is on Jan. 22.
