The Marianists have created a new online retreat for the entire Marianist family.  While individuals can complete the retreat on their own and at their own pace, the Marianists encourage small groups to make the retreat together by gathering virtually to share in discussion, reflection and prayer.  A Marianist Digital Retreat for a Pandemic is split into four modules, which can be experienced in a single day or over a few days.

Fatima film release delayed amid coronavirus crisis

Moviegoers anticipating the feature film about the story of the children of Fátima will have to wait a few more months to see the famous miracle story on the big screen.

The historical drama, directed by Marco Pontecorvo and distributed by Picturehouse, was originally scheduled for widespread release April 24, the second Friday of Easter.  But like many films slated for this spring, Fatima was pushed back because of the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.

"The circumstances that the world finds itself in now require precautionary measures and action," the film's official Facebook profile posted on March 19.  "As a result, we are postponing the opening of Fatima in theaters to August 14, 2020...."

Topic: Pray the Rosary unite with your country and help encircle the world in prayer.

The annual Global Rosary Relay for the sanctification of priests on the Feast of the Sacred Heart of Jesus on June 19, 2020 when we encircle the world in prayer once again, in this its eleventh year, with more prayer locations than ever taking part in what is now recognized as a truly significant and powerful devotional initiative within the Catholic Church to recognize and bless the work of priests serving the faithful the world over.

Each of the participating prayer locations in 85+ countries prays a particular mystery of the Rosary at a particular half-hour on the day in thanksgiving to God for our priests and to implore the protection and loving care of Our Lady, Mother of all priests, for all her priestly sons. With the coming of midnight on the June 19, 2020, the entire world, by then, will have been encircled in prayer for our priests on this The Annual Rosary Relay Day.

It was the great Irish priest Father Patrick Peyton who never tired of saying that: "The Family that prays together stays together."  As the family of the Church, you are invited to join your prayers to the prayers of millions throughout the world on June 19, 2020. It is an opportunity for us to raise our hearts to God for all priests in the exercise of their ministry; that they will be blessed, through our prayers, with God's grace for their priesthood; that in this worldwide communion of prayer for them, they may experience our gratitude and support; and finally that they will persevere in unity with Christ and His Church and shepherd the Lord's flock to the safe pastures of His Kingdom....

Appealing to Mary to End Pandemic on Feast of Our Lady of Fatima, Pope Francis Thanks God for 'Holy Bishop of Rome', St John Paul II (Zenit), May 13, 2020

Let's ask God, through Mary's intercession, for peace in the world, the end of the pandemic, a spirit of penance and our conversion …

On this Liturgical Memorial of Our Lady of Fatima, Pope Francis made this appeal toward the conclusion of his General Audience on Wednesday, May 13th, 2020 in his papal library, in the midst of the pandemic of coronavirus worldwide, as he focused today's catechesis on essential characteristics of prayer.

Recalling the Marian apparitions in Fatima, Portugal, the Pope said: "We turn in thought to Her apparitions and to Her message transmitted to the world, as well as to the attack on Saint John Paul II, who in the sparing of his life, saw the maternal intervention of the Holy Virgin....”

The Whole World Turns to Mary (Aleteia) April 29, 2020

With the pandemic causing many people to feel helpless, bishops around the world are showing their faithful that it is always time to turn to prayer.

On May 1, the bishops of the United States and Canada consecrated the two countries to Mary, Mother of the Church. The bishops' conferences from the two countries decided to coordinate their act of consecration to make "a most meaningful and powerful intercession."

Every bishop in Canada and the US will consecrate their own diocese to Mary….
