Borrow a Button Maker

Roesch Library's button makers have been popular amenities to UD students, faculty, staff, clubs, teams and organizations since they first started circulating in 2017. In order to improve access, the Libraries recently revised their borrowing policy.

Button Maker Information

  • The button makers make pins or magnets (sized 1.5 inches or 2.25 inches).
  • The button makers can only be used within the Roesch Library building and cannot be reserved in advance.
  • Check out one or both of the button makers with a current UD ID at the first-floor Hello desk.
  • The loan period is two hours. If you need it for longer, you may be able to renew it for another hour unless someone else has requested it.
  • If a button maker is not returned, the replacement fee is $500.
  • With each checkout, we provide enough supplies to make about 25 pins and 25 magnets. If you need additional supplies, we suggest ordering them directly through the manufacturer, American Button Machines.

Using the button makers allows you to get creative and make something unique. Create your own design by downloading a template. Print your design using the library's color printers (20 cents per print) or at Print and Copy Services, located in the Powerhouse. View our instructions on button making.
