Roesch Library Access

Effective June 21, visitors will no longer need a University of Dayton ID to enter the Roesch Library building. Visitors must enter the first-floor lobby using the east entrance, facing St. Mary’s Hall. The ground-floor entrance on the west side of the building (outside the Ryan C. Harris Learning Teaching Center) still requires a UD ID.

Face coverings and physical distancing are required in accordance with University policies. Please see the Libraries’ COVID-19 information page

The Marian Library, U.S. Catholic Special Collection and University Archives will remain appointment-only until Aug. 1. Beginning Aug. 2, these collections will be open to visitors without an appointment 8:30 to 11 a.m., Monday through Thursday and by appointment for the remaining hours. Normal hours will resume on Aug. 23 when classes begin for the fall semester.

Visitors not affiliated with the University may use the designated visitor computers on the first floor, which include access to most subscription databases; however, visitors are not provided access to printing.

Please see the library hours before visiting because they are subject to change.
