Explore History Through a New Lens

From its founding in 1888, the National Geographic Society has grown into an organization synonymous with exploration, photography, maps, and rethinking the world as we know it.

National Geographic Virtual Library is a new free service of University Libraries. Students, faculty and staff can now access primary source material on cultures, global events, nature, science, technology, the environment, and gripping first-person accounts of epic exploration and discovery.

Browse, read cover-to-cover, explore topics, and search issues from 1888 to 2015. Issues from March 2017 to the present are available free through Flipster.

With comprehensive, timely articles and legendary photos, the iconic National Geographic magazine documents life on our planet and beyond, interpreting the world through personal experience.
