Free library cards to all University of Dayton alumni living in Ohio

University of Dayton Libraries are now offering free library borrowing cards to all alumni currently living in Ohio. An alumni library borrowing card will give access to all circulating materials in Roesch Library as well as the 50 million materials available through UD’s membership in OhioLINK, a consortium of libraries.

Complete these steps to apply for a card. Cards last for one year and can be renewed following the same procedure:

  1. Ensure that your personal information is up to date with Alumni Relations. You can update it online. A discrepancy in information will delay the issuance of your card.

  2. Apply in person at Access Services desk in the first-floor lobby of Roesch Library. Directions and parking information are available online. You must provide 1. A photo ID and 2. Proof of current residence, such as a recent bill

Policies to note:

  • Check out up to 20 items at a time, including a maximum of five OhioLINK items.

  • Cards are active for a one-year period.

  • Card renewal must be made in person following the same procedures as the initial card application. Overdue items and/or fines of $10 or more will block a renewal request.

  • OhioLINK items can be shipped to library locations throughout Ohio for pickup and return.

  • Borrowing privileges are limited to physical items. The card does not provide access to electronic databases.

Please contact the Libraries Access Services desk for more information: 937-229-4234 or circdesk@udayton.edu.
