University Libraries

What's new?

University Libraries welcomes everyone back to campus! Here is a listing of building and technology updates that occurred over the summer:
  • Construction on the new brick exterior is nearing completion. Other construction projects will be finished by the end of the semester, including the portico at the LTC ground floor entrance. Free ear plugs are still available at all service desks in the library so if any noise is bothersome, please ask a library staff member for a pair of ear plugs!
  • New paint colors make floors 4, 5 and 6 much brighter places to study. Last semester students voted on their favorite colors during finals week. Over the summer the winning paint colors went up on the west end walls.
  • The pay-for-print software changed over the summer. Although the process for releasing print jobs to the library printers is similar, returning students may notice the print release window is different. Printing at the library still costs 4 cents per print. The money is deducted from FlyerExpress, so don’t forget to add funds for printing!
  • We also improved the search tool on our website. Our new search box, UDiscover, connects you to all types of sources (books, articles, etc) with ONE search. Use UDiscover to access more information at once than ever before!

Coming soon: Ask questions for library staff via chat. The chat window will be located on our website and within the new UDiscover search tool.

Here’s to a great year!
