The Power of Prayer

By Sister Angela Ann Zukowski

We find ourselves feeling helpless in the wake of an invisible enemy rippling around the world into our lives.

The daily news messages and commentaries concerning the growing impact of the Coronavirus unsettle us.

It is in these times we stand in solidarity with one another even as we hunker down in our home.

Our team has prepared video Lenten prayers each week. The video offers you an opportunity to join us at any time of the day, morning, noon or night.  I hope that you may pause, and spend 15 minutes to connect with God’s presence among us for spiritual support.

Our joined prayer radiates a hidden synergy that can bring comfort and peace into our lives amidst the ambiguity of it all.

Prayer is powerful. So together we strive to form a virtual community of faith and friendship calling upon God for healing energy on our community and the world.

Sister Angela Ann Zukowski, MHSH, D.Min, is the Director of The Institute for Pastoral Initiatives and the Virtual Learning Community for Faith Formation, a distance learning program serving 88 (Arch)dioceses worldwide for adults who want to enrich their faith.  To see the complete online e-course list in English, Spanish & Arabic, go to VLCFF.UDayton.edu (click calendar)
