Fall Preview of CIP Programs and Events

The Center for International Programs (CIP) is excited to share a sneak peek of the upcoming fall programs and events. In collaboration with many campus partners, the CIP offers a variety of intercultural programming opportunities for our campus community. Below is a list of the programs and events for the Fall 2018 semester. We encourage you to attend these events, and hope to see you there.

FALL 2018 PROGRAMS AND EVENTS

Mystery Bus Tour (Hispanic Heritage Month Edition)
September 15, 11:00 A.M.–3:00 P.M. Off Campus Location
Mystery Bus Adventures is an opportunity for students to sign up for a “mystery adventure” in the Dayton community, allowing for the opportunity to get to know other students through an off campus experience. These experiences promote cross-cultural exchange and engagement, and encourage students to learn something unique about Dayton. Registration is required.


Culture Fest
September 19, 4:00-6:00 P.M.  KU Central Mall
Celebrate the many cultures and diverse backgrounds present around campus. This event includes a fantastic schedule of music, dance, and demonstrations, along with delicious food from across the world.


Education Abroad Fair
September 27, 4:00-7:00 P.M. KU Ballroom
This event includes a display of various international opportunities available through the University of Dayton. Visit tables and talk to representatives to collect information about UD faculty led programs, semester exchanges, service opportunities, cultural immersions, and various other programs with non-UD providers.

Do you like to eat? Want to try new international flavors? Breaking Bread brings together Flyers of different cultures to meet, share conversations, and learn from each other over delicious home-cooked meals. Sign up for a 3-dinner series. Registration required.


International Education Week
November 2-November 10
An opportunity to celebrate over the course of a week, the benefits of international education and exchange worldwide.  Participate in various programming including global game nights, language workshops, festivals, and more.


Citizens of the World 
November 7, 7:00–8:30 P.M. Heritage Coffee House
Join us in kicking off the newly designed, Citizens of the World Student Showcase. In this salon style event, you will hear students’ stories demonstrated through visual and expressive art forms that share an experience reflective of their engagements as citizens of the world.


International Festival
November 10, 5:30-8:00 P.M. RecPlex
Food, performance, culture, and community celebrate together at this unforgettable evening. Sample the world’s cuisines, take a walk through the international bazaar, watch incredible cultural performances, and see the beautiful clothes and flags of different countries at this enjoyable event.
