Remembering Feast of Virgin Mary's Nativity, Pope Francis Reminds us that "God Is Faithful to His Promises" (Zenit), September 5, 2018
Pope Francis gave this comforting reminder at his weekly General Audience on September 5, 2018, in Saint Peter's Square, as he addressed the young, elderly and newlyweds.
"Next Saturday [September 8]," he reminded, "is the feast of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary."
This date, the Holy Father added, "coincides with the end of summer and harvest, and reminds us that God is faithful to his promises."
In Mary, God, Francis noted, "has prepared a living temple where His Son, made flesh, wanted to live among us and give us salvation."

Eya at Ten: A Multifaceted Season (Program Schedule) September 1, 2020
Eya's program for the fall, Beguiled, is centered around the works of Hildegard von Bingen (1098-1179). This program is a response to the jarring disconnect found in Hildegard's songs devoted to the Virgin Mary. It is a confrontation of ancient thought and perception surrounding the sin of Eve in the Garden of Eden, the subsequent redemption of women in the Virgin Mary, and, frankly, how modern women feel about the whole business.
They can't wait to share it with you on November 20, 2020. Until then, there are a million other ways to participate in their season. The official launch is Thursday, September 17, 2020! Stay tuned for details on how to join.
