Brother John Samaha, S.M., sent us the text below.

William Joseph Chaminade by James Metcalfe

Her great apostle on this earth

                he lived in much restraint

And in the patience of his soul

                he truly was a saint.

For Chaminade endured his cross

                and always in his heart

Our Lady of the Pillar was

                the most important part.

To fire men with fervor

and to bend their humble knees

In recognition of Our Lord

and of His mysteries.

From Saragossa to Bordeaux

                to our United States

And unto all the world he fought

                against religious hates.

That all might honor Mary

                and receive their rich reward

In glory and salvation through

                the Mother of Our Lord.

Remarks by Pope Francis After Palm Sunday Mass and Before the Angelus (Zenit) March 25, 2018

... Today's World Youth Day, which is being held at the diocesan level, is an important stage in the journey towards the Synod of Bishops on Young People the Faith and Discernment of the forthcoming month of October, as well as in the course of preparation for the International Day, which will be held in Panama in January 2019. May the example and the intercession of Mary, the young woman of Nazareth, whom God chose as Mother of His Son, accompany us on this itinerary. She walks with us and guides the new generations in their pilgrimage of faith and of fraternity....

The Mystery of the Virgin Womb as the Tabernacle of God in the Flesh (Pemptousia) February 2, 2018

"Therefore the Lord Himself will give you a sign. Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a son, and shall call His name Emmanuel." (Isaiah 7:14)

The great prophet of God, Isaiah, prophesied this proclamation of the salvation of God's creation some eight centuries before the birth of Jesus Christ. At first glance, in the realm of the natural order of things, to read that a virgin birth is even possible is to speak of madness or at the very least statistical improbability. Yet, this Scripture may very well be the most crucial in all of the Old Testament for it summarizes the need of Israel and Judah for a Savior and a Redeemer to stave off their unfaithfulness while offering hope and comfort of a future supernatural event where God would intervene in human history in a way previously unknown in depth and magnitude....
