God Still Comes: From the Manger to the Heart

What better way to introduce this new book than to quote the opening paragraph?

“These pages are an invitation to enter the magic world of Christmas, its joyful celebration and deeper meaning. The world of Christmas as presented reflects the tradition of the manger, of nativity sets, cribs, or crèches as we colloquially call them. Entering the world of the crèche the reader will discover some of its traditions and manifold expressions.”

Full of explanation, expression and over 250 photographs, Father Roten invites the reader to contemplate the purpose of nativity sets, the history, as well as the components and various forms of nativities depending on geography and culture. The reader is then immersed into the Marian Library’s collection as eleven themes are eloquently explored.

The publication of this book would not have been possible without the substantial financial contribution of M. Roger Glass, owner of Marion’s Piazza, and friend of the International Marian Research Institute at the University of Dayton.

This new, 240-page book is now available to purchase online. (Select "University Libraries" from the menu.) For more information or other ways to purchase, please call 937-229-4214.
