Make plans to visit the Marian Library this fall to see centuries-old brass icons in the upcoming exhibit, Revelation Cast in Bronze. Traditionally, many icons were given to children at birth, later worn as men went off to war, and then collected into a "family tree" painted wooden icon plaque. The Russian icons that will be on display are part of the collection of Washington D.C. physician, George Contis — an expert on icons.
