Experiential Learning Stipend Program

The Offices of Experiential Learning and Career Services are offering four (4) stipends of up to $300 each to fund University of Dayton students’ professional development goals. Professional development opportunities like conferences, training seminars, and workshops are tremendously valuable forms of experiential learning; they help students develop important skills to be successful after graduation and enhance students’ educational experience at the University of Dayton.

The stipends will help students cover the cost of workshops or training program registration fees, conference travel costs, supplies and living expenses such as food and housing while they are participating in their professional development activities.

Students interested in professional development opportunities at non-profit organizations that reflect UD’s institutional values of social justice and the common good are especially encouraged to apply.

Applications will be accepted on a rolling basis for professional development activities that will take place during 2018-2019 academic year. Students are eligible for up to $300 each. Recipients will be acknowledged through photos, videos, and blogs on UD’s website and social media.  Selected students will be expected to submit a 1 page reflection summary of what they learned during their professional development activity. Stipend recipients will be announced within 2 weeks of receiving the application.
