Peeling Away the Facade book cover

Who's Publishing What: Peeling Away the Facade

The second edition of Lee Reinecke’s memoir, Peeling Away the Facade: The Long Shadow of Child Abuse, is now available as an ebook. The paperback will be released soon.

“This is a multi-layered account of the ways child assault impacts one's life over decades (in terms of) self-worth, decision making, careers, marriage, motherhood and spirituality. The winding path of healing gives hope that we are all stronger than we ever imagined,” says Lee about her first book.

Her career began as a children's protective social worker. After participating in the first National Child Assault Prevention Project training, she founded a Child Assault Prevention Project in southwestern Ohio. After graduate school, she practiced as a licensed school psychologist for 34 years, working with students who struggled with learning, emotional or behavioral problems.
