Ilene "Gingy" Beckerman

At 60, Ilene "Gingy" Beckerman wrote a best-selling memoir, Love Loss, and What I Wore, that was an inspiration for a successful Off-Broadway play.

At 62, she published her second book. At 65, her third. At 70, her fourth. At 75, her fifth. She's illustrated all her books, which have been published in numerous languages. She's also written for The New York Times, the Los Angeles Times, Ladies Home Journal and many other magazines.

Today, she's penning a humorous, at times poignant, blog, Love, Loss & Real Life. "Sometimes," she says, "I feel like Grandma Moses - she didn't start until later in life either - but I try not to look like her."
