Who's Publishing What: Fight Naked

Kathy Thorson Gruhn has been telling funny stories for many years, and putting them into writing was one way she handled the grief of losing her husband of 43 years.

Her first book of funny stories, Drug Tested for Being Happy, was well received and her audience begged for more, and the book Fight Naked was born. Don’t let the title scare you, the stories are true, clean and you won’t be embarrassed to share it with your 90-year-old grandmother.

Kathy has signed a contract with Wonderlore/Studio South to create ‘edutainment’ to enhance educational activities through theatrical and digital presentations using the concepts of the My Baby Compass program that she wrote and published. She is in the process of writing scripts with the Muppets for the first episodes in Jungle Rules, which will be performed in the Greenville Children’s Museum.

Her greatest pleasure is making people laugh through her jokes and stories. She performs her stories in a program, Piedmont Home Companion, to raise money for local charities.

And yes, she is writing one more book of funny stories, Oops, I’m Stuck! . . . and that’s it for this series.
