The winter months

Amy McVay Abbott51vg52gregl-_sx331_bo1204203200_ contributed an essay for These Winter Months: The Late Orphan Project Anthology, a collection of stories about the death of a parent. The focus is not the grief, the sense of loss, the terrible sadness, but rather the simpler things. This is about the intricate and universal workings of family - regrets, learning, problem solving, daily life, and most definitely, love. The book won top prize in the compilations/anthologies category at the 2016 Great Midwest Book Festival.
