Dr. Vijayan Asari, University of Dayton Ohio Research Scholars Endowed Chair in Wide Area Surveillance and professor with the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering is also the director of School of Engineering's Center of Excellence for Computer Vision and Wide Area Surveillance Research (Vision Lab).

During his visit, Dr. Asari had the pleasure of meeting and visiting with His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, who is the ruler of Dubai and Vice President of the United Arab Emirates.  At the Palace, Dr. Asari not only met with  his Highness but also Dr. Issa Salim, head of the Bioresonance Clinic at the Rashid Hospital in Dubai, to establish an international research collaboration for the development of a brainwave-based, bio-medical diagnoses and treatment system.

We are proud to have Dr. Asari represent the University in such a manner!
