Sasha Blaine '06, a 2015 Dayton Business Journal 40 Under 40 honoree, has been sworn in as the President of the Ohio Women's Bar Foundation (OWBF). As the educational and charitable arm of the Ohio Women's Bar Association, the OWBF operates the prestigious Leadership Institute and awards an annual law school scholarship for women.

Ohio Secretary of State Jon Husted named Allison DeSantis '04 as President of the International Association of Commercial Administrators (IACA). The organization is a professional group of government administrators of business organizations and secured transaction record systems.

“Allison has played an integral role in modernizing the services we offer to Ohio businesses over the past four years, including our transition to offering online services,” Secretary Husted said. “She is a hard worker and a team player. It’s a great honor to have someone leading our business services efforts in Ohio who has gained such professional recognition.”

DeSantis’ primary responsibility will be to organize the IACA annual conference, which will be held in Columbus, Ohio in 2016, and is expected to bring professionals from 42 U.S. states, three Canadian Provinces, and 15 different nations. She will remain in her role in the Secretary of State’s Office.
