Spotlight on Faculty: Jan. 2015

On January 1, 2015, Thaddeus Hoffmeister took the position of Associate Dean for Academic Affairs, and Maria Crist returned to full-time teaching on the Law School faculty.

Tom Hagel spoke to WSB-AM in Atlanta via CBS Radio News about Ohio postponing executions for seven death row inmates.

Thaddeus Hoffmeister was quoted in the AP story, "Panic Attack, Bad Back: Theater Shooting Brings Jury Excuses," and the Wall Street Journal article, "Thousands of Potential Jurors Summoned in Colorado Shooting Trial." He also contributed to the New York Times' Room for Debate with his article, "The Judge Should Rethink His Decision to Try Tsarnaev in Boston." Hoffmeister spoke to the International Business Times in the article, "Boston Marathon Bombing Jury Selection: Will Dzhokhar Tsarnaev Get A Fair Trial? Yes, If 'Extensive' Process Works, Legal Experts Say." He spoke to Above the Law in the article, "Today’s Tech: How An Associate Dean Uses Social Media In His Classroom." Hoffmeister also spoke to ABC22-FOX45 TV on party hosts being liable for guests' actions.
