Fostering Community the Marianist Way

Lalanne is a post graduate 2-year program that nurtures teachers as they discern their Catholic vocation. It is a great way to learn, lead, and serve in community!

Serving in a new city is both a great honor and an exciting privilege. Living in a service community brings a unique set of benefits to those entering a new field or region. The Cincinnati Lalanne community is blessed with seven members who work together to form a family of teachers. Sometimes, however, our family of seven can feel tiny in the midst of densely packed urban life.

Cue the Marianist brothers, based in and around St. Francis de Sales parish. The brothers graciously hosted Lalanne's Cincinnati community at a dinner on January 29th as a getting-to-know-each-other event. Once introductions were made, conversation flowed freely!

This dinner showcased the power of our Marianist charism. Despite differences in age, experience, and professional training, all parties were joined by the bond of a shared mission - bringing Jesus to a world that needs Him. That shared purpose not only organizes individual houses, but forms the bond between the larger Marianist family - one that is blossoming in Cincinnati!
