Then & Now: A Retrospective Exhibit

June 10, 2017-July 31, 2017 in the Roesch Library First-Floor Gallery

Introduced to letterforms in 1980 at the University of Dayton under the tutelage of Lou Weber, Patti Paulus has been creating calligraphic art for close to 37 years. While hand lettered artwork continues to be her main focus, she has recently expanded her artistic expression with the addition of rendering landscapes in charcoal. 

Exhibit Hours:

  • 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday-Thursday
  • 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday
  • Noon to 6 p.m. Saturday-Sunday
  • Closed July 4

Exhibit: Fatima: 100 Years

June 14, 2017-August 20, 2017 in the Roesch Library, second floor

To commemorate the 100th anniversary of the Fatima apparitions, the Marian Library presents this exhibit, representing a small sampling of its materials on Fatima, including books, periodicals, pamphlets, photographs, films, rosaries, medals, statues, and other devotional items

Exhibit Hours:

  • 8 a.m.-10 p.m. Monday-Thursday
  • 8 a.m.-6 p.m. Friday
  • Noon-6 p.m. Saturday-Sunday

Exhibit: ‘Ex Oriente Lux’: Marian Art of Asia

Monday, June 26-Friday, September 8 in the Marian Library Gallery

With the exception of famous artists such as Japan’s Sadao Watanabe and China’s He Qi, the variety and originality of Asian religious art isn’t well-known in the Western world. This exhibit attempts to expand our view of Asian Marian art with pieces drawn from the Marian Library.


Faculty Recital: Weeks of Welcome, An American Music Recital

Saturday, August 26, 8 p.m. — 10 p.m. in Sears Recital Hall, Jesse Phillips Humanities Center

An encore of Minnita Daniel-Cox's American Music recitals in Bulgaria, summer of 2017. The performance includes American Art songs and music of contemporary American styles.
