Paul Laurence Dunbar Research

Dunbar Research and Scholarship
Many of Paul Laurence Dunbar's poems have been read and performed by Herbert Woodward Martin, poet and professor emeritus in the Department of English. Martin is also the editor of the Penguin edition of Dunbar’s poetry.
The editor of Dunbar’s stories is Thomas Lewis Morgan, associate professor in the Department of English. Morgan's research interests include American and African American literature.
Minnita Daniel-Cox, assistant professor of voice and coordinator of the voice area in the Department of Music, has established the Dunbar Music Archives, a digital archive of creative works and subsequent musical renditions of the work of Paul Laurence Dunbar.
