Bob Eckstein is an award-winning New York Times bestselling author, New Yorker cartoonist and NYU adjunct professor.

Eckstein has live-drawn for The New York Times, The New Yorker and Writer’s Digest as well as the Super Bowl, Oscars, Olympics, Golden Globes and the World Series. 

He’s written for SPY magazine, MAD magazine, McSweeney’s, Reader’s Digest, Points In Case, Playboy, National Lampoon, American Bystander and many others. 

Eckstein has been selected as Humorist of the Month by the Erma Bombeck Writers’ Workshop and nominated twice as Gag Cartoonist of the Year by the National Cartoonist Society. 

He has spoken on humor around the world from the first annual Writer’s Digest Humor Conference to South Korea. 

His new book is The Complete Book of Cat Names (That Your Cat Won't Answer to, Anyway).
